At First Pres, we are committed to helping women grow closer to Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer and building relationships. We have several different opportunities for women to connect with other women, including the Women's Sunday School Class, Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study, and various women’s events.
All Women’s Event - One-Time Book Club
Discussion Night: Friday, August 23 from 7-9pm at Jenna Seabold’s House. All ages (including High School)
This summer, women at First Pres will be reading the book, Enjoy: Finding the Freedom to Delight Daily in God’s Good Gifts by Trillia Newbell. Register by July 15 (online or in the office). Cost: Free. Provide your own book. Audiobook is available for free through the Hoopla App (Aurora and Oswego Public Libraries).
Women's Sunday School Class
Sunday Mornings 9:15-10:15am in Dunham Hall (lower level) No registration required.
Book of 1 Corinthians -- Starting in May, join us as we identify the problems in the church of Corinth and discover Paul’s Gospel response to them. All women welcome!

Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study
Coming this Fall! WOW will start back up September 2019 doing From Garden to Glory: A Bible Study on the Bible’s Story by Courtney Doctor. Involves daily homework with weekly small group discussions and teaching. Morning Option: Tuesdays from 9:15-11:15 am. Evening Option: Day TBD from 7-9 pm. Children’s Classes available during morning option (birth - preschool). More details to come!
Summer WOW - Books of 1, 2, 3 John
Tuesdays mornings (June & July) 9:15-11:15 am. Lower level Room 007. Begins June 4. We’ll be reading and discussing these books of the Bible written by the apostle, John. No homework. No commitment. Bring your own coffee for a time of conversation and study together.
Presbyterian Women (PW)
Second Thursdays of the month: This group of women meet on the second Thursday of the month in Graham Hall from 9:30 - 11:30 am. All women are welcome.
