At First Pres, we are committed to helping women grow closer to Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer and building relationships. We have several different opportunities for women to connect with other women, including the Women's Sunday School Class, Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study, and various women's events.

Women's Sunday School Class

Sunday Mornings 9:15-10:15am in Dunham Hall. No registration required.

LEARN INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY During the month of August, led by Anne Miller, we will study the first four chapters of John using the inductive study method.

COLOSSIANS From September to November, we will study the book of Colossians - how Jesus is over everything, and all that we do is for Him. Led by a team of teachers.

Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study

Tuesday Mornings 9:15 – 11:15am  Graham Hall   
Cost: $35/year (includes materials) 
Childcare (birth - preschool age): $10 per child each semester
Begins Tues. Sept 11: Register in-person anytime between 9:15 and 10:15am. Childcare orientation/playtime for moms & kids from 10:15 to 11:15am.

JOHN This year our small groups will be doing a study by Kathleen Nielson on the book of John. Theme: “What do we believe about Jesus, and how does that affect our entire lives?” It will involve daily homework & weekly teaching/discussion.

All-Women's Event: Day Away with God

Saturday, September 22,  8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Our hearts were created to be in relationship with Jesus. Yet so often we spend more time talking about him than getting to know him. As a community, we will take a day away with God, participating in guided activities that connect our hearts to him. Location: far west side at Progressive Baptist Church and Jericho Lake Park.
All ages (HS+), all experience levels.
Cost $15 (includes lunch/materials) through September 13. $20 after September 13.  Registration begins August 12, online or in the office.

All-Women's Event: Bible Reading Workshop

Friday, November 16,  6:30 – 9:30 pm
How do we know what the Bible says? And how do we hear what God is speaking through it? Join us for interactive, workshop style teaching that you can apply on your own.

All ages (HS+), all experience levels. Cost $5. Registration begins October 7, online or in the office. Led by a team of First Pres Women Bible Teachers.
