We have several different opportunities for women to connect with other women, including the Women's Sunday School Class, Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study, and various women’s events.

All Women’s Event - One-Time Book Club

Discussion Night: Friday, August 23 from 7-9pm at Jenna Seabold’s House. All ages (including High School)

This summer, women at First Pres will be reading the book, Enjoy: Finding the Freedom to Delight Daily in God’s Good Gifts by Trillia Newbell. Register by July 15 (online or in the office). Cost: Free. Provide your own book. Audiobook is available for free through the Hoopla App (Aurora and Oswego Public Libraries).

Women's Sunday School Class

Sunday Mornings 9:15-10:15am in Dunham Hall (lower level) No registration required.

We gather on Sunday mornings to learn about the Bible and discuss it together. This class is a great way for women of all ages to get connected with other women at our church and bring friends. Come when you can!

WOW Bible Study (Women of the Word)

BIBLE OVERVIEW Join our multi-generational community of women as we do From Garden to Glory: A Bible Study on the Bible’s Story by Courtney Doctor. Involves daily homework & weekly teaching + discussion. $20/semester (includes materials). Children’s classes (birth - preschool) $10/child each semester (morning only). Morning Option: Tuesdays 9:15-11:15am, Lower Level Graham Hall.
KICKOFF: COFFEE at PHILLIPS PARK - Tues. Sept 3, 9:15-11:15am. Coffee and treats at Phillips Park playground/pavilion (top of the hill). Learn more about WOW, register for the fall session, pick up your Bible Study book, meet new friends, and bring the kids/grandkids to PLAY!

Evening Option: Thursdays 7:00-9:00pm, Two Brother’s Coffee Shop.
KICKOFF: COFFEE at TWO BROTHERS COFFEE SHOP - Thurs. Sept 5, 7:00-9:00pm. Coffee and games. Learn more about WOW, register for the fall session, pick up your Bible Study book, and meet new friends.

Presbyterian Women (PW)

Second Thursdays of the month: This group of women meet on the second Thursday of the month in Graham Hall from 9:30 - 11:30 am. All women are welcome.

All Women’s Event: Day Away with God

Saturday, September 28, 8:30am - 4:30pm at Progressive Baptist Church and Jericho Lake Park: Our hearts were created to be in relationship with Jesus. Yet so often we spend more time talking about him than getting to know him. As a community, we will take a day away with God, participating in guided activities that connect our hearts to him. New this year! Two lunch options:

OPTION A: LUNCH IN SOLITUDE: midday 5+ hours of uninterrupted individual time with God.

OPTION B: LUNCH IN GROUPS: 2 hrs. morning & 2 hrs. afternoon of individual time with God.

All ages (HS+), all experience levels. Cost $15 (includes lunch/materials) through Sept 18. $20 after Sept. 18. Register online or in the office. Online registration opens August 18.
